Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Power engaged in Research and Development in the fields of generation, transmission, distribution and operation of electricity supply systems.
CPRI acts as an apex body for initiating and coordinating applied research in electrical power engineering assisting the electrical industry in product development and in Quality Assurance. CPRI also serves as an independent Authority for Testing & Certification of power equipment. The CPRI Head office is situated at Bangalore and its units are at Bhopal, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Noida, Kolkata, Guwahati and Nasik.

Educational Qualification for CPRI Recruitment
- Engineering Officer Gr.1 : B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
- Scientific or Engineering Assistant : B.Sc. in Chemistry or 3 year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with Relevant Experience.
- Technician Gr.1 : ITI Trade certificate in Electrician Trade.
- Assistant Gr. II : BA or BSc. or B.Com or BBA or BBM with First Class with relevant experience.
- MTS Grade 1 (Watchman) : Ex-serviceman (Army/Navy/Air force) preferably with 10th Pass.
Age Limit for CPRI Recruitment
- Engineering Officer Gr.1 : Maximum Age Limit 30 years,
- Scientific or Engineering Assistant : Maximum Age Limit 35 years,
- Technician Gr.1 : Maximum Age Limit 28 years,
- Assistant Gr. II : Maximum Age Limit 30 years,
- MTS Grade 1 (Watchman) : Maximum Age Limit 45 years,
Age Relaxation: As per recruitment norms.
Selection Process for CPRI Recruitment

Salary – Rs.18,000/- to Rs.44,900/-
